My design is a hamster ball designed for use in space. My design consists of two parts; the ball the rodent will run in, and the cage around the ball, which you can Velcro to any surface in order to keep the mechanism stationary. The cage will stay still, while the rodent runs around inside the ball, which is a form of exercise and entertainment for the rodent. The lid attaches to the ball with Velcro. For traction, the inside of the ball will have strips of Velcro that the rodent can push off of to run. The design could be scaled up or down, depending on the size of the rodent being brought into space.
