My simple water purifier design has three main points that make it a viable solution in an emergency on Mars. First, ultra violet light can be used as a powerful yet effective way to purify water. Less than 6 hours exposure to UV eliminates 99.999% of bacteria! Second, having clear walls made of a lightweight opaque material allows more light to enter the compartment, thus maximizing transportability and minimizing exposure time. Third, my design is extremely practical since it requires no electricity to function, barring the exception of printing it. The three design points I have highlighted are what makes my design an effective solution to water purification needs. Note: my device is actually functional, and can be used to purify water.
