This desalinator will be part of a filtration, storage and irrigation system. It will be made of recyclable, high temperature, food safe plastic and be stationed in an indoor facility on Mars. This system will be used in summer, when the salt saturated water comes to the surface. The astronauts will gather the presumed salty, muddy water, and place it into the filtration system at the front of the desalinator. This will filter the mud from the water, which will then flow into the desalinator. There will be a heater within the base to evaporate the water, leaving the salt on the bottom. The water will condense and flow down the slanted top, through the pipe and into a storage tank, which would connect to a drip irrigation system to water fruits and vegetables.
