This device consists of a box-like structure with a button, connected to an oximeter which is placed on the persons finger to measure pulse and heart rate. If something is noticed by the oximeter as irregular, it alerts the other astronauts for help. Or if you are not feeling well and are unable to approach the other astronauts, you can also press the button to alert them for help.
