The space splint is to help hold a broken bone or injured muscle stay in place. While in space astronauts do not have access to doctors. The splint is very light and will help the injury heal quicker while in space. It will also help to make the injury feel better by not letting the arm or leg move. The space splint will be easy to keep clean since there are dust storm on mars.
