How often does the dentist tell you that it’s important to keep your teeth clean? Well believe it or not, it’s even more important on a long-term space mission. Since the weightlessness in space takes pressure off your teeth, it is important to make sure your gums and teeth stay strong and healthy. The Fantastic Flosser is a nylon plastic device, which is 3D printable. At one end is a place where you could insert floss, so flossing would be quicker, easier, and less of a hassle. At the other end of the flosser is a toothbrush. It’s two devices in one! You would only need a few of these to last an entire space trip. Having bad teeth can lead to multiple other health complications, and it is important to take the necessary precautions to avoid them, if possible. Thanks to the Fantastic Flosser, astronauts have one less thing to worry about when it comes to their well being. The toothbrush is made from finely crafted plastic bristles, and the insert-your-own-floss feature is super useful.
