The Spider Monkey has many adaptations to survive. Their long tails help them swing from branch to branch quickly. The young spider monkeys can cling to their mother’s back so the mother can maintain an arboreal lifestyle. They live in tropical rain forests of Central and South America, stretching from Mexico to Bolivia. The spider monkeys live in high treetops of warm, wet, subtropical forests and rain forests. In 1000 years, glacier melting would be a big problem. The sea level would rise rapidly, flooding areas of the Earth. This could cause the flooding of the Spider Monkey’s home, making it a cold wetland. The Spider Monkey would need thick fur to keep warm. They would need powerful limbs to propel themselves through the harsh waters. They would need longer tails to climb tall trees. The present Spider Monkey could not survive well, but the Provectus Simiaranea could.
