My robot will mine Moon regolith with a spiked blade in the front to dig with. The robot will need to make more than one trip and once it goes back to unload, there is a hatch to empty all the collected Moon soil. The rear of the robot houses the control unit and the power supply (which is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery). For the dust problem, the robot has minimal moving parts that are housed in sealed rubber enclosures to provide maximum protection. My robot is named REGOTHULES (ree-go-thyuh-leez), a combination of regolith and Hercules, because it will mine Moon regolith with the strength and spirit of adventure of Hercules!
