Optimus Amicus: Companion Bot

My robot is Optimus Amicus. It is a companion geared towards the elderly. I designed this robot for my great grandma. After a recent visit, I knew a friend would make her smile. Optimus Amicus will get to know their owner and figure out what they like. It will be able to play music, give news updates, and converse with its person. There will also be an app so family members can send photos, videos, and even make calls to easily connect with family members. If the owner calls for help it can connect to emergency services. It also can alert them to take their medicine and distribute it from a special compartment. Optimus is a computer covered in inflatable vinyl to make the robot comforting for hugs. It has a human-like design to make it feel like a friend. It is sure to make them smile throughout the day.
