A Robot to Make You Smile

I have designed a robot to make sick, injured, or depressed children smile who are in the hospital. The robot is a girl who is 4 ½ feet tall. I have named her Indigo, Indigo can move effectively and efficiently without making robotic noises that could alarm children. Indigo has a frame made of metal and silicone for the skin. Indigo is a playful, joyful, and compassionate girl for cheering up children who are sad or depressed. Since Indigo is built for helping out in the hospital, Indigo can be there while children who have to go through surgery or a painful procedure to calm them down. Indigo also has a calming sent to her to help children go to sleep if they’re scared. Indigo is programmed to learn about whoever they are taking care of so she can better understand who they are.
