Sunshine-Bot: Care & Happiness

My robot will be used by people who are in long-term hospitalization, and who have conditions like severe disease, cancer, heart disease, etc. My robot will assist patients in habitual needs like using the restroom, feeding, assisting mobility, communication, and providing medical aid. It will also talk to the person by generating conversations, stories, and jokes; read to the patient; play music; and show uplifting videos. Most importantly, it will always be smiling. Studies have shown that seeing other people smile and be happy can lift your own mood, lower stress, and boost positivity. My robot will include many sensors, like acoustic, proximity, temperature, infrared, pulse, and eye tracking sensors. It has a square-like, animated body, with a seat on the back for the patient. It has a round head and multiple screens. It also has humanoid arms with grip and sensors. It is a wheeled robot.
