My dental hygiene holder is a dual-purpose tool that can help astronauts while they are cruising through space. In space, all astronauts brush their teeth with the same fluoride toothpaste that we use on earth. After brushing, they have two options to either spit out the toothpaste on a napkin or swallow the toothpaste. If they spit it out, they will be left with a wet napkin with nowhere to put it. That is why most astronauts tend to swallow their toothpaste. Swallowing fluoride can cause convulsions and diarrhea. With the dimensions of 9.3 cm x 5.1 cm x 1 cm, this dental hygiene holder can hold a toothbrush, toothpaste, and includes a compartment to spit out your toothpaste. The toothbrush holder on the left side includes screws so that you can tighten a toothbrush into place. The toothpaste dispenser in the middle includes a sliding tool so that you can push out the desired amount of toothpaste. The disposal compartment includes a hinge so that you can flip it open/close.
