The Future of Agriculture Lies Within Hydra-Soil Droughts are a prevalent and serious issue within the state of New Jersey. This natural disaster is a consequence of climate change occuring throughout the globe. Droughts have the potential to damage crops in local communities and harm the profits of agricultural businesses. Therefore, creating preventative measures against droughts is significant for the sake of New Jersey and other areas that may suffer at the expense of droughts. My plan to increase the resilience of our community to climate change is to invent a new type of soil. This specific formula of soil will be ten times as hydrating than current leading soils in the marketplace. It will be titled hydra-soil, and sustain the water content of plants for extended periods of time. This will protect the state of plants if their location is undergoing a drought period due to climate change.
