My solution to the climate challange: In my community, a climate challenge we deal with is flooding. One of the effects of this is hazardous driving like hydroplaning, for example, and car accidents from the flooding or the giant puddles left afterward. My solution is traction that can be added to roads for better grip during these situations. This, in theory, could be achieved by adding bumps to roads in areas where flooding is high to add traction. Another thing that could help is having small stick-like poles with colors that determine how high the water is from what color the water is at to the sides or median of the road. Having this will help when it isn’t apparent how deep the water is well in the car. Ultimately, we could decrease dangerous driving conditions and car accidents by adding more traction to the roads and the ability to see how much water we're dealing with.
