The space Food holder is designed to store space food and to secure already-opened astronaut's foods to prevent food debris from contaminating the delicate ISS instruments. The container has two interlocking joints that close the lid of the food package, each having a base to keep the food in place. To match the dimension of the food package, the height of the interlocking joint can be adjusted by sliding the smaller tube upward or downward, while the length of the base can be adjusted also by sliding it toward or away from the center tube. If the holder is not being used, the length of the interlocking joints can be reduced by pushing the edge of the joint toward the center tube for easy storing. The holder can hold two packages of space food with the maximum dimension of around 15cm length x 13cm width and around 4 cm thick.
