Unbeknownst to many, ambient noise, mainly from air recirculation, is a serious problem on the International Space Station. Currently, astronauts wear earplugs or earmuffs for several hours each day, especially for sleeping. This is a pair of earmuffs, capable of being easily disassembled or folded for easy storage, with loops for attaching lanyards or straps, and a small sliding plugs that can open or close the earmuffs, allowing the astronaut to hear without taking off the earmuffs.
