Mortar and Pestle

The mortar and pestle crushes pills allowing them to be easily used for a multitude of things. When I did some research I learned that astronauts take multiple medications into space. Some medications are used for minor things, but others are used for more serious ones. This device can be made out of ABS plastic that is durable and impact resistant. The model is gray, but color does not matter. This device consists of a small bowl and a thick, grinding tool. The bowl or the mortar is about 3 ½ by 3 ½ by 2 inches. It has a deep center and a flat stand. The grinding tool or the pestle is about 4 by 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches. It is a long cylinder with rounded ends. It is very simple to use. Pills get placed into the bowl. The grinding tool is then used by applying pressure on the pills. Then twist or pound with the pestle. The pills will be crushed and be ready to use. The pills then can be used in experiments, surgeries, other medications, etc., or just be used for easier consumption.
