According to NASA, using tools in space can be challenging for both astronauts and engineers. A lot depends on the equipment astronauts carry on spacewalks. Tools must be designed to be multi-purpose, easy to use and designed to stand up to extreme temperatures. My design is a rectangular tool that can do all three. The tool is a wire stripper, socket wrench set, and circle maker. The socket wrench set includes sockets that are 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 inches which can be used to tighten and loosen bolts. The circle maker is an important feature because it helps sketch orbit points. The tool has a comfortable grip that can be used with bulky space gloves.
