Crashing Dominoes

Our experiment begins on top of a paper roll, where a domino is hit in order to push a marble. The marble descends on an inclined plane made of foam cups and goes into a cup that is part of a pulley. The side of the pulley, in which the marble went into, has more weight than the cup on the other side so it falls and hits a domino chain. This domino chain uses the potential energy, by causing a chain reaction where each domino pushes the other until all dominoes are down. The domino trail ascends in different surfaces until it reaches the top of an inclined plane where the last domino hits a car toy that travels along the plane and topples the last domino, concluding our experiment’s trajectory.
