An Award for Their Service

This badge is to thank veterans for their service and of course incorporates the flag of the United States, what every veteran has fought for and protects. The flags white and red being surrounded by the gold ring represents the purity and American blood contained by the hearts of gold possessed by all veterans. I also designed the pin with a ribbon to look like an award for the hours and effort veterans have put into serving their country. The ribbon has red and blue trailing down were there to invoke the image of the blood, sweat, and tears that the veterans have put into service for our country. The eagle design has a gold star for a heart, representing their hearts of gold, as well as the memory of service members who have passed still remaining living on in them.
