Veterans apprecation pin

Wanting to make sure the veterans feel seen, the light gray pin is more then what is seen, the two big star on each side, there is only two because it takes two years in service to be considered a veteran. The muitl- V on the middle of the pin. It's in a V shape for Veterans. I believe it's not just about the design but the meaning behind it.
