Veterans are our true heroes

Veterans should be honored because they fought in the war just to protect us. We don't do much to protect our country. We normal people don't protect our country much so that's why we have the military. They make sure we can live in a safe country. I chose the star for the symbol on my pin because it represents strength, defense and independence. The colors mean, Red represents courage and fortitude, Blue represents loyalty and perseverance. My pin says “veterans are the true heroes” because they are the people protecting our country.
