The Vet

My pin for this competition is a very deep pin that has a lot of meaning. The first portion in the center says,“We are here because of the sacrifices you made (or will make)” This is a line from my little sister’s poem she made for her school veterans day assembly. It is a thank you to all soldier’s sacrifices.The other portion, lower right, has written on it, “All rolled the dice, but you were lucky enough to make it back” This shows that while we celebrate our veterans every november 11, we are forgetting the people that lost everything, including their lives.I also included a die to visualize. The final part of my pin is a purple and gold heart that reads, “From Lancaster Oh, Purple Heart City” Showing where I am from, and giving support to all the people that have received the Purple Heart.
