Honoring Veterans

I chose the elements that I did in my pin because most of them fit the theme. Firstly, the top hat was added because some US presidents wore it, and most of them were in the army. Secondly, the “Thank you” was to show gratitude towards those who fought for this country and are still alive. Third, the flower on the hat was meant to be a poppy because that is the flower that came to symbolize the blood shed by those who fought and those that continue to fight for our country. And finally, I chose to put the US flag there because the colors represent valor, bravery (Red), purity and innocence (white), vigilance, perseverance, and justice (blue).
