Heart with Poppy Veterans Pin

I made this veterans day pin because my great grandpa was a WWII veteran. I put a red poppy on the pin because it represents veterans and is commonly used on graves for fallen veterans. I made the base of the pin a medal ribbon because lots of achievements in the military have medals that have the same base with a pendant hanging from the bottom. I chose a heart pendant because it had the poppy inside and loved ones of a veteran would put a red poppy on their grave. Originally I was going to put “Veterans Day” on the pin but I thought that the poppy alone was better in the final design.
