Veteran's MRE

I designed my Veterans pin in honor of my brother. He has been in the Navy as a Corpsman for three years. I created this design because he always talks about how he has to eat MREs. He even brought a couple home for my family and I to try. We had the Chili Mac. It wasn’t bad. Have missed my brother a lot. He hasn’t come home for Christmas for two years in a row. I am hoping I will see him soon. MREs stand for Meal, Ready-to-Eat, this means out in the field, soldiers can eat a filling and hot meal. MREs work by using a chemical reaction. A soldier can add water which heats up the food inside. MREs are full of calories, so you are only supposed to eat one a day. I believe a MRE is important because it provides energy to soldiers all over.
