Home of the Brave

Many people sing the National Anthem, whether it’s at sports games or for other reasons, many people sing it without considering what the lyrics really mean. My pin is designed to showcase a very meaningful quote from the National Anthem. The quote “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave” is important for many reasons. One of those reasons is that it reminds people that we have this land, and we are free because of the brave soldiers who have risked their lives for our country. I also have other symbols on my pin like a heart which represents love. The heart has 6 stripes to represent the six branches, and stars around it which represent the stars on our flag. Every Veterans Day, we get to honor the brave people who protect and share our country, and I hope my pin helps showcase my appreciation.
