I chose this design because I feel like this specific military is less recognized because of its smaller size and specific mission scope. Although this branch is less recognized they play a vital role in maritime security and environmental stewardship. The coast Guard was established in 1790. During times of peace it falls under the Department of Homeland security upon the Declaration of War or when the president directs the coast guard operates under the authority of the department of the Navy.
