The coast guard stands for "Sempre Paratus" according to the slide deck and always achieves that every time they can. During war time, they are under the navy, but they are under the department of Homeland security during peacetime. The coast guard helps protect the United States coastline and save hurricane survivors even when the land is flooded. The coast guard is one of the branches of the military and is needed if a war is happening on the United States mainland. The coast guard does not come to mind as fast as the navy and army if you think military in your mind, but I don't think they should be overlooked, they are very helpful and protect our coastlines. In the tinkercad design, there are 2 roses to represent military personnel who died in battle as we should never forget people who died in battle.
