This medal represents the veteran's journey into helping stay safe and on the road to freedom. As you can see in the middle of the medal is a road, and surrounded by it is small shapes. The small shapes around the road represents debris that they've had to go through during their battles. Finally the hole at the top of the medal represents a bullet hole to help remind us how much fierce battles they had to face for us.
