"Gold Plated Sky" Navy pin

To appreciate Navy veterans, I've made a pin which includes two of the Navy's greatest equipment, a military ship and a flight of fighter jets. I've chosen the colors gold, white, black, and blue to represent many different aspects of the Navy and the military in general. The black backdrop represents a shadow. As long as the nation stands, the shadow cast will protect it from all dangers. White is used to portray honesty and transparency, the tools the military uses are not kept secret from us nor used against us, keeping the protected safe and happy. And of course, blue, to represent the waters in which the navy sails. The entire design will be within a ring of gold. This represents achievement and progress, both of which the Navy continuously proves with its groundbreaking discoveries and state-of-the-art technology. To finish it off, the phrase "Honor Aeternum" meaning "Forever honored".
