This pin, clearly designed for the United States Army, combines several different elements of the land service branch. The colors consist of gold, green, and black which are the same colors found on the United States Army seal. The gold represents achievement, dignity, and honor while the black is indicative of determination and constancy. The two stars say “Established 1775” to reflect the date the Continental Army was established. The eagle is a proud symbol of America as a whole. The pin has the text saying “This we’ll defend” which is the official motto of the United States Army. The name ‘Invictus’ means ‘unconquered’ in Latin.
