Flight Of The Eagle The eagle on my pin represents America as a whole. The eagle is saying thank you vets showing America's appreciation for veterans. E Plurbus Unum is Latin for one out of many. This phrase dates back to 1776 and it reminds us that out of the 13 colonies one nation emerged.. The 19 stars around the outside of my pin stand for the flag flown over the U.S.S Constitution. This represents everything America stands for like peace, and freedom. The Poppy flower symbolizes remembrance and service. Finally, the black and gold symbolize strength and power. All these are symbols of America and show how much we appreciate veterans.
