Sinking Shores Louisiana has experienced severe flooding over the course of time that has impacted our state in unimaginable ways. Louisiana has a very hot and humid climate that makes storms and hurricanes off the coast much worse. Warm water in the Gulf of Mexico makes storms much more powerful. We need to make a change in our state to help people that are in flood zones and areas that are affected by high waters. Some things we can do to help are to raise houses off the ground so water doesn't get inside, have more people in the cajun navy to help people out of their flooded houses and provide them food, and have better warnings of storms that could possibly be areas of our state. If we make these changes, much more people will be saved from flooding homes, and empty stomachs in these hard times.
