Virginia is known to have a subtropical climate. In the state, there have been high amounts of precipitation from the recent change in the climate. Being that Virginia is a state located on the east coast and climate change is raising the temperatures of the ocean, hurricanes are more likely to happen. And with hurricanes come floods, and with floods schools, businesses and homes get destroyed. Because Virginia is a rural area, there are a lot of farms including cotton and peanut farms. With the temperatures rising, soil dries up and becomes unuseful to crops. A possible solution to climate change in Virginia is reducing the number of vehicles used to pollute the air. A way the community can take action on that is by using vehicles that are electric or by using non-gas-filled types of transportation. This can help lower the number of cars polluting the air, and possibly help lower climate change in the community.
