In Virginia, there is one common problem. Because Virginia is a historical state, many buildings have not been updated or repaired since the early 1990s and 2000s. Although many buildings aren't repaired very often, many buildings in the area are very old. However, we may not have serious flooding issues, but we still get hit by thunderstorms. This puts a lot of stress on many of the older buildings and infrastructure in the area, which causes further damage to the building. And make the repair prices go up. Many of these buildings are also slowly being repaired. To continue, while this happens, they may get hit with rain and wind, which can tend to undo a lot of work that may have been done. This can cost more money to get things repaired because what they may have fixed initially, is now being torn apart, along with the older parts of the building that weren't repaired. There are not many ways to solve this issue, however, the most effective way would be simply getting the state involved. By getting the state involved, we could fund bigger projects and fix some of these older buildings a lot quicker.
