Climate change has been going on for years, starting 18,000 years ago. Since the past, temperatures have been changing, and average sea levels have risen about 25 centimeters since 1880. Earth’s average temperature has risen 0.14℉ (0.08℃) each decade, 2℉ in total. However, the rate of global warming since 1981 is more than twice that of 1880; 0.32℉ (0.18℃) per decade. But why does little change in temperature matter so much, you ask? The temperature of the Earth plays an important role in shaping weather patterns and helps support organisms and maintain water levels. Changing the heat by even a few degrees can throw Earth’s ecosystem into disaster. Future changes in life due to climate change are excess floods, droughts, heat waves, and fires. Continued emissions of gre greenhouse gases will lead to a warmer atmosphere, a hot and acidic ocean, higher sea levels, and larger changes in precipitation. My proposed plan is that BAN excess littering and throwing away. Eat healthy! The 3 Rs: Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse! Save energy at home. Walk, bike, or take public transportation. The government shall make a new law regarding this cause. Spread the message and go green!
