Due to sea levels rising, the temperature can increase from 9-10 degrees annually. One climate hazard that affects this is the use of power. Using power uses a source of energy such as oil or gases, which can affect the environment and future temperatures. This will likely cause more heat waves and unusually hotter temperatures in colder seasons like Winter. Due to extreme temperatures, people can get tired more easily if they are doing manual labor, and people might stay indoors and use their air conditioning, which is what will cause even more temperature rises. To prevent the overuse of energy, a practice such as an energy curfew, people should be encouraged to turn off their appliances at a certain time to save energy. This time can vary and isn’t mandatory, as sometimes people need to cook or work during the late hours. People should also be encouraged to take walks or use bikes instead of using their cars or public transportation. Even if you still use energy after the curfew, try to limit the amount of energy you use. All in all, this helps reduce the amount of energy that is used to help keep the temperature low.
