Have you noticed the days becoming increasingly hotter? Have you noticed that the beach’s shoreline seems to grow smaller? Does it seem like snow, once a common occurrence, now rarely seems to fall? These are just some of the effects of climate change. In the state of New Jersey, the temperature has risen by about 3.9 degrees (F) since 1895. This has, and will continue to, create a variety of issues. One such issue is the rising sea levels, which are rising more rapidly in New Jersey compared to most coastal areas. This could potentially displace millions if the levels continue to rise. The increase in temperature is also causing warmer watters, which is both putting sea life in danger and causing storms to become both stronger and more frequent. One solution that could be used to combat such issues is the invention of a carbon-emission filter. This filter could reduce carbon emissions by 80%, converting a large portion of it into oxygen. This filter could be placed on the exhaust pipes of cars, smoke stacks of factories, and other carbon emitting sources. This solution would reduce carbon emissions, therefore halting global warming and all of its effects.
