SmartGarden is an advanced community garden that uses technology to educate people on climate matters and how they can help. It provides a screen for people to learn about issues while interacting with the garden. In addition to this, SmartGarden will be enabled with many tech features, such as sensors to monitor a plant's health and create a learning environment through music and calming sounds. It can be installed in neighborhoods, schools, or just around a city. Similar to a mini free library shed, people in a community can donate seeds and plants, but also take and use crops grown, with a program to build and start the gardens also in place to encourage involvement. Just a few benefits of this are that plants can act as an air purifier and reduce carbon emissions, they build community, create mental health benefits, improve physical health since it requires outdoor involvement, support insects and animals, help with erosion control, create a way to compost, and educates communities with the tech feature.
