The climate in Louisiana is usually hot and humid but we do get a good bit of rain and it is a very swampy area. If there is a drought then our land will become really dry and the animals will not have any water to drink, and because the land is dry and there is no water there will not be any food for the animals to eat. If the animals are dehydrated and starving then they will eventually die. Animals help fertilize the plants and give the humans food to eat, so if the animal population goes down eventually the human population will go down as well. There are a few ways this problem can be solved. One way this problem can be solved is we can build and set up “check points,” places that the animals can go and drink water out of something like a hamster water bottle. . This way we are not necessarily wasting water but we are also helping the animals live. Another way we can help is something like “sprinklers” to water the crops for the animals to eat.
