The wetlands in Louisiana are being destroyed by all the floods and hurricanes coming through. With the wetlands being destroyed it makes erosion and downstream flooding far much worse. The wetlands aren’t the only thing being affected by all the flooding and hurricanes. The animals that live in the wetlands are having to deal with all the damages too. These animals are trying to figure out a way to survive and evolve to these life threatening conditions . A way we can fix this problem is to take sediment from the Mississippi river and put it in our wetlands to build our land back up. Another way we can build back the land is to take soil from other places with excessive soil and build back the land slowly. When the land gets built back it would help the ecosystem get stronger and help it go back to the way it was before.
