Many animals struggle with their life because of the Louisiana heat. Louisiana heat is a major problem because it drys up water ways for animals to drink and cool off in. Wild animals are not the only animals to suffer, house pets also suffer from the heat. More than twice as many dogs and cats reportedly died from heat-related causes in 2023 than in any other year on record—and those are just the ones that were reported. As the ozone layer is depleting heat is becoming a major problem all over the world, but Louisiana heat is very harmful and dangerous. A way we as a state could fix this problem is making more water ways for animals to access. A way we could make more water ways is making more creeks,streams, and ponds. This would help the animals a little more and it would also help our environment by allowing more animals to come around. It would make a huge difference by just allowing animals to have more water sources. Our animal population would possibly increase if this plan happens. It would also help agriculture by allowing people to have access to more water if it is needed.
