Prolonged flooding can cause great damage to crops. Floods are happening more and more often. Floods cause the farmer to have to discard their crops. Or it delays their plants growth. To prevent or to help our flooding problem we need an adequate drainage system. Also we can do things such as maintaining watercourses and improving the drainage. Or clearing debris from channels and culverts.
