Environmental problems caused by climate change can be summed up to our over usage of fossil fuels. Air pollution plagues our atmosphere, leading to climate change amongst the Earth. Multiple changes can be done such as decreasing our usage of coal and petroleum, making up 45.8 percent of all energy sources in the world. A simple solution would be to switch over to renewable energy or to "go green" such as using Wind Power harvested through turbines, or increasing the usage of hydropower. The main, however untapped and unresearched potential is wave energy, the idea of generating electricity through wave energy. Wave energy has several advantages over other energy methods, such as constancy (waves are more predictable than some other renewable sources), high energy density, and less visual and environmental effect. Wave energy might also be useful in coastal areas, which are home to a sizable amount of the world's population.
