In Northern California, we have always struggled with periods of drought, especially in the Bay Area. No single person can combat drought alone, but we can all contribute to the cause of conserving water in little ways. Some of the ways we could save water are as follows: avoid flushing the toilet unnecessarily; dispose of tissues and similar waste in the trash rather than the toilet. We should also work on taking shorter showers instead of baths. Lastly, we should avoid letting the water run while brushing our teeth and washing our faces. We cannot solve drought in a day, but with these small steps, we can work toward it in the future.
