Some ways that climate-related hazards have affected my community are wildfires, longer and more frequent droughts, and flooding from sea level rise and high-intensity rain. I'm focusing on how the flooding and high-intensity rain greatly affects my community. My community is completely in the hills and due to the high intensity rain, there have been many rock and mudslides. This causes great danger to the people in the community. My plan is to create an organization that builds strong walls around the hills next to main streets, roads, and highways. This will prevent a people from being in immediate danger to the possible landslides when driving in high-intensity rain storms. The extra mud and rocks will be collected and reused in environmental projects all around the community.
