Our community can save the environment we live in by using plastic-eating fungi. Genetically modified versions of Aspergillus terreus and Engyodontium album (fungi species) will be produced and distributed to recycling companies and even ordinary households. This concept is very close because plastic-eating fungi are already used to dissolve hard-to-recycle plastics such as polypropylene safely. Some of the most produced plastics are expensive, dangerous, pointless, or complicated to dispose of safely. The need to dump these plastics and create environmental problems or burn them and release harmful smoke and toxins into the atmosphere will no longer exist! These are the problems that result in drastic climate changes all across Earth! That is precisely how my community can save the world from climate change.
