My community needs to stop the landslides from destroying our roads, houses, and nature. Excessive rainfall is what leads to the most landslides. So I propose that we should build more drainage pipes in areas that have softer soil and ground. This will make less water in the ground for the soil to start to slip. This doesn’t only help with the problem of land slides it also helps with droughts. It will take this rainwater and move it to reservoirs to hold until we need it. Another solution that I propose is adding a stablized wall in the middle of the soil that will lead to less weight resting on the front half of the soil. What this also does is that in the event of a landslide, only the front half of this soft soil will be brought down. This makes it less fatal and could houses and families.
