As the climate changes, more and more floods are affecting coastal communities. To mitigate the effects of floods we should plant trees on the coast so they can suck in water and store it. Trees known for their water absorbing abilities are the willow tree and the banyan tree. Both would need to be exported from east Mississippi river states and south Florida respectively. By planting them we also remove co2 from the atmosphere.
